Welcome to the VROC HCR VIII web site.

April 14th - 17th, 2005 will be the 8th annual Vulcan Riders and Owners Club Hill Country Ride in beautful Fredericksburg, Texas. All bikes are welcome. Why attend the HCR?

Well, there are at least four reasons pictorialized below. We're sure there are more.

The Scenery

The Roads

The People

The Places

Coopers BBQ  Some place in Texas  Luckenbach  Bluebonnet: Texas state flower  Enchanted Rock State Park  Luckenbach necessary room

So, want to go? First things first

  • Sign up to go.
If you plan on attending, you'll need to sign up. This way, we'll know you're coming and you'll be added to the list of attendees.
  • Arrange a place to stay.
The Official HCR Lodging is the Super 8 Motel in Fredericksburg. It fills up fast so go ahead and make reservations. We have also blocked off rooms at the Sunday House Inn across the street. Check the
Fredericksburg Info page for more information.
  • Sign up for the dinner in Luckenbach.
  • Buy a HCR VIII T-Shirt and Patch.
  • Buy a few hands for the Poker Run.
  • Read about the Group Rides we'll be having and some Maps of the roads we'll be taking.
  • Check out the Things to Do while in Fredericksburg.
  • Make a reservation at a Day Spa.
  • Sign up for the mailing list to communicate with other attendees about the event.

Mailing List / Newsgroup

We offer a mailing list for the HCR Event. Everyone on the list receives an email message when a member of the list sends an email the list email address. If you don't want to do this via email, then this list is NOT for you. You must first join the list before you can post and receive messages. If you have any problems, just email the administrator at HCRVIII@dfwvrochcr.com.

Newsgroup access to the Mailing Lists are found at news://dfwvrochcr.com/local.HillCountrRideVIII. If you prefer newsgroup access (NNTP) rather than the mailing list approach, then you may post and read messages via the newsgroup rather than signing up on the mailing list. The mailing lists and newsgroups are kept in synch so that when you post a message on the newsgroup it will be sent to the mailing list and vice versa.
